Highly recommend. Toasts whole wheat bread and bagels perfectly. Completely thrilled with Kitchenaid 2-Slice Toaster. The description of the toaster was accurate- weight, size, material, features and functions. Easy to clean.
It seems that you can't get a toaster that actually toasts anymore. I like my toast brown - to get that using this toaster I need to toast it twice on the high setting.I would not buy this item again.
You get your money's worth with this toaster. It toasts bread perfectly. We have tried many toasters, only to be very unsatisfied. This toaster is great. When putting the bread in, you don't have to fight with the handle, it goes down very easily.
I would expect more from a KitchenAid product. Toaster looks good but toasts unevenly. My $9 old toaster does a better job.
My only problem is that to get the toast to look like toast you have to have the dial placed on the max position. Usually Kitchen Aid appliances are really good but I am a little disappointed in this toaster. The toaster is a nice looking appliance on our granite counter top. Didn't toast English Muffins very well and I don't eat bagels so I can't comment on that.
